Though I became a fan of the animated series, I first fell in love with The Boondocks when it was a syndicated comic strip. Through the strip, Aaron McGruder offered commentary on current events from politics to pop culture in poignant and hilarious fashion.
Today marked the first day of the Pope Benedict XVI’s visit to the US, and I genuinely wonder what McGruder would have conjured up to mark the occasion. I guess I’ll have to settle for this gem from several years ago:

personally, I always felt that the heavy political satire and political message was lost on this “soulja boy generation” of young people as far as the tv show was concerned.
I just remember watching the pilot episode in fall 2005 and out of a dorm of 100 or so 18-20 year old boys, only one other had heard of the “Boondocks” in its cartoon strip form. Now granted this show got more ratings than the Superbowl as far as our dorm coming out en masse to watch it, even garnering girls walking across campus to watch it, most were laughing more at the fact that they were able to say “nigga” than actually digesting the satire of “a nigga moment.”
VCF, you have definitely resurrected a relic by actually showing the actual comic strip.

Please try to explain this away .I network with many other
business owners of many races. Pakastanis , Philippinos
,Koreans, Latinos, Arabs, chinese. They all say the same
thing “you can’t trust or depend on most blacks” they
won’t hire them if they can help it
